The report provides a summary of the AML/CFT measures in place in Cape Verde, the level of compliance with the FATF 40+9 Recommendations, and contains recommendations on how the AML/CFT system could be strengthened. The assessment is based on the information available at the time of the mission from April 30 to May 15, 2007 and was conducted using the 2004 Assessment Methodology. The detailed assessment report (DAR) on which this ROSC is based was adopted by the Inter-Governmental Action Group against Money Laundering in West Africa (GIABA) on November 6, 2007.
